Negativity is Self Defeating
Who knows that person in your life that is constantly negative? Most of us have dealt with this person or multiple people that continually want to play the victim. We are all entitle to a bad day or two but when it becomes all too often it brings down everybody associated with this person in their life.
To make them conscious of their patterned behavior simply ask them “so what positive things are going on in your life?” Focus on helping them rather than walking away or becoming irritated of their constant negativity. Ask what you can do to help them to encourage a positive change in their day. Sometimes just caring a little goes a very long way with people. Day after day we all too often see the old adage of “one bad apple spoils the bunch” playing out to be the truth more times than not. What if you could be that person’s inspiration? Shoot them a quick call, maybe bring an extra coffee to the office or even just help them focus on one or two positive things a few minute each day. Your efforts will not only build the morale in the environment you are in but it will inspire you to continue your positive actions throughout the day.
