Greenville SC Festival Of Trees Returns

Luxuriously decorated holiday trees will be on display in downtown hotels starting next month as the heart of a festival that will benefit the St. Francis Cancer Center.The Festival of Trees, sponsored annually by the St. Francis Foundation, runs from Dec. 1 through Jan. 1.As part of that event, 80 festive trees will be showcased in the Hyatt Regency Greenville, the Courtyard Greenville Downtown and the Hampton Inn & Suites RiverPlace.Those trees are sponsored and decorated by local businesses, community groups and individuals, including BMW, Charter, Talk Magazine and the Junior League of Greenville.The trees are the center of a series of other festivities.The St. Francis Martinis & Mistletoe will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., Thursday at the Hyatt Regency Greenville, Studio 220. A silent auction starts the evening; tickets are $50 per person.The St. Francis Teddy Bear Luncheon is Saturday, December 6, 11:00 a.m. - noon, at the Hyatt Regency Greenville. In addition to entertainment by Wade Hampton High School and lunch, children that bring a new stuffed animal get a free photo with Santa. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children.The St. Francis Holiday Brunch is Sunday, December 14, 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., at The Poinsett Club. Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for children, and include a complimentary family portrait with Santa.
