Today properties listed online make home searches much easier.  You can browse through many different listings and set up search filters to help narrow your search to a particular location, price range, and type of home you want.  The property listing usually includes the Listing Agents name and contact information.  The Listing Agent or Seller’s Agent is the realtor hired by the person selling the property.  So is that the agent you should contact to buy the property?  Can one agent assist both the Buyer and the Seller when purchasing a home?  Yes, as a Dual Agent.  But is that the best way to purchase a home?  Probably not.  When negotiating a contract, especially the proposed price of a property, it is to the Buyer’s advantage to have a Buyer’s Agent who is loyal only to the Buyer.
