Anderson Countys Unemployment Rate Best In Five Years

The report in today's Independent Mail newspaper states Anderson's unemployment rate has dipped to 6.5%, better than South Carolina state wide. This is in large part to the credit of our county leaders who are working hard to bring large companies to the area.  According to Rusty Burns, the County Council is has made a determined effort to attract economic development prospects and to make Anderson one of the friendliest places in the country to do business.  The more jobs there are the more houses will be sold.  The real estate market has improved in Anderson and should continue to do better as a result of the lower unemployment.  This is great news for Anderson!
