As more and more individuals move into the Upstate of South Carolina people are venturing past the obvious choices of Greenville, Simpsonville, Mauldin, and Greer.  One of which that has been generating quite a buzz has been a little place known as TR or Travelers Rest.

Travelers Rest adopted a revitalization plan by the City Council in November of 2006 to create appealing features to bring people in much like Downtown Greenville set forth and achieved.  Their goal; to create redevelopment and infill, Buncombe Road Park, branding concepts, streetscapes, and numerous points of interest.  In addition to these efforts another large attraction has been the Swamp Rabbit Trail that spans the distance of 14 miles connecting the cities of Travelers Rest to Greenville.

Even in a down economy when the revitalization program began, new businesses were opening, marking the labors of Travelers Rest’s dedication a significant success.  As TR’s popularity has grown so has the increase in already existing companies sales and has been very well received by the community.  If you are looking for something a little different, new and with a very appealing vibe put Travelers Rest on your list, you will be pleasantly surprised.
