The New Green Pond Landing Grand Opening
Applied Technology & Management was part of a multi-disciplinary team that was selected to provide comprehensive consulting services related to the development of a six-lane mega ramp and bass tournament facility on Lake Hartwell in Anderson County, South Carolina. The ramp is the deepest on the lake and over 276 feet long. The new Green Pond Landing was officially opened on Friday, December 19 and will host the 2015 Bassmaster Classic in February, as well as the American Bass Anglers 2015 American Fishing Tour National Championship in October. The lake is also host to numerous other high-level bass tournaments each year.
Lake Hartwell covers 56,000 acres along the South Carolina / Georgia border and provides outstanding fishing opportunities, and an assortment of other recreational activities. Future plans for the Landing will add an additional three-lane ramp, more staging docks and a tournament weigh-in dock.
ATM provided specialized facility planning, including boat ramp access, orientation, trailer parking, and tournament facility flow analysis. A key element of project planning also included consideration of highly variable site topography and the need for proper ADA access to all aspects of the project.
