Colors definitely bring life to a home, and they definitely play a role in helping selling your home.

However if you are not careful with the colors you pick, you might definitely just scare away possible buyers who would be considering buying your property.
Some tips to how to AVOID common mistakes when it comes to picking colors for the outside of your home are:
1- Light and mellow colors always wins. Although some colors might be in style, classical colors such as light blue or green is always a favorite among buyers.
2- When you pick a color think about if you are going to enjoy looking at it every time you walk into your home.
3- Dark colors must be chosen wisely. On top of making the walls look dirtier as time passes by which means you will have to repaint your walls more often.
4- Remember when you pick a color for the outside of the house, that color will have to match your landscape...
5- Don't use cheap paint. For a few more dollars you can get way more superior looks and results!
6- Always try to work with contrast. If you pick a light blue for the walls, a mocha for the porch and a red door, that will give a very nice and harmonious look to your house and make it VERY attractive to possible buyers.
