STOP just be sincere

When people are understanding, kind, and genuine we can FEEL their compassion, right?  Having been in sales for the majority of my career this is what has brought more incredible relationships to my life than I have ever imagined.  When it’s about the paycheck and not the process EVERYBODY loses.  Taking care of a client as if you were consulting yourself MUST always be a policy that we dedicate ourselves to.

I recently visited two local wineries with my wife; the first winery was GORGEOUS and had all the necessary features to be amazing…BUT…they were missing something.  We walked into a warm greeting then the wine tasting began and we were completed in no more than 10 minutes.  Did I mention there was only one other couple tasting; the need to rush was not necessary.  The process itself lacked compassion, sincerity and a friendly dialog no matter  how we attempted to spark the conversation

The next location was a few minutes up the road and as we pulled down the gravel driveway it was visually just as beautiful but different, it was historical not a brand new building.  The moment we walked in you could simply feel the passion and excitement behind the eyes of the sweetest older lady who genuinely was excited to see us….us being complete strangers.  She explained the process of the wine conveying to us the passion the winemaker had for this venture and the history of the property of which in the 1800’s was a dairy far.  SHE WAS SINCERE and it was abundantly clear!

How are we living our lives; how are we treating others; are we faking it or do those people really matter to us?  We have all become so busy in life that we have lost site of what really matters, caring about our fellow man.  I always notice the extra effort when its there BECAUSE in our current day there is NOT a lot left in this world.  Isn’t it time we stop the fake and insincere conversations and genuinely empathize with others?
