Easley SC Summer Fun

Easley, SC, a suburb located abt 15 minutes from downtown Greenville, SC, offers lots of summer fun for your family this year.

There’s a farmers’ market every Saturday morning at 8am in front of city hall.  Market features local farmers, bakers, artists, and others offering their homegrown or homemade goodies for sale.  We always find something we HAVE to take home.  Downtown Easley also features “Music on the Market” every Friday night from May 4 to June 22, and Movies on the Market every Friday night from Sept 8 to Oct 6.  There’s a Marine parade downtown June 18th and a HUGE July 4th celebration on the 3rd and 4th.

The local library offers programs for kids of all ages, and many adult offerings, as well.  Check out their event schedule.  Last summer, my children went at least two mornings a week and made crafts, learned dances, and most importantly, checked out and read lots of books!  Most programs are at no charge.

There are summer arts and theatre camps at the Fine Arts Center of Easley, and sports and archery camps offered by the YMCA.  Also, several Bible school programs and summer camps are offered by local churches.  Check out VBS and basketball camps at Rock Springs, and another VBS (and usually an arts or sports camp) at Easley First Baptist.

Easley is a very friendly community with lots going on for you and your family to get involved and meet new people.  If you have questions about any events listed above or about moving to our fine town, contact us today!
